and I know I don't carry myself very well...
Winter break has been/is being nice. I'm kinda getting back to myself, you know? Not that I don't feel myself at college.
I reread Cornelia Funke's The Thief Lord and it was amazing.
I reread Where the Wild Things Are as well.
I rewatched all 54 episodes of the first season of Digimon (because I always loved it so much more than Pokemon).
And my most incredible feat as of yet: I just finished watching 70 episodes and both movies of Cardcaptors.
I remember when I LOVED Cardcaptors. Except I had only watched like 15 episodes, so during this winter break I decided to watch them all. And as I was browsing through some English audio episodes on Youtube, the general consensus of fans was that the English episodes were incredibly censored. And that the story didn't come through the way the writers intended-- the way it comes through in the Japanese versions. I usually don't care about things like this. The English version is just fine for me. I mean, really--it's just the same thing in a different language. But I really wanted to experience this series the way it was meant to be experienced, so I watched it all in Japanese. And the story was beautiful. Like. I can't stop thinking about it. At first I found the voice-actors annoying (HOW many girls can have that freakin' high of a voice), but the voice acting was not as annoying as the crazy idealized proportions of Anime-style animation (LEGS ARE NOT THAT LONG. OR SKINNY). But I got used to it. And The third season was lacking plot-wise, but I didn't mind because character-development-wise it was amazing. And a lot of the general development across the entire series was really slow (as I feel is usual for Manga/Anime). But- I.. I- it was beautiful. So fucking beautiful.
